Design and print
Customize your QR codes, choose the right export, and protect scan reliability in print.
Design controls
Depending on your plan, Qrivo can help you:
- Choose a base template, foreground, background, and optional gradient.
- Adjust module and finder-eye shapes.
- Add a frame and a short frame label.
- Save reusable designs.
- Configure a secure logo URL and choose which codes use it.
- Use a background image.
The preview helps with composition, but the final scan test determines whether a design is ready to publish.
Choose an export
| Format | Best for | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| SVG | Professional print, packaging, signage, and design software | Prefer SVG when artwork will be resized. |
| PNG | Presentations, online graphics, and tools that do not accept SVG | Avoid enlarging it beyond the exported resolution. |
| Campaign ZIP | Handing off many QR files with a manifest | Keep the manifest with the assets. |
| Label sheets, product cards, packing inserts, and direct print | Print at 100% scale when exact dimensions matter. |
Print checklist
- Preserve clear space around all four sides of the code.
- Keep strong contrast between modules and the background.
- Do not stretch, skew, crop, or distort the code.
- Avoid folds, seams, high-glare finishes, and curved placements when possible.
- Make the code large enough for the expected scanning distance.
- Include a clear customer instruction or call to action.
- Test the final physical proof using multiple current iOS and Android devices.
- Scan every variant again after changing its size, material, finish, or surrounding artwork.
A screen preview is not a print proof
Test the physical item in the lighting, distance, and angle your customers are likely to encounter.
