Catalog Armor documentation
Protect catalog history, monitor important changes, and recover supported fields with review and confirmation.
Catalog Armor is an embedded Shopify app for catalog protection and operational monitoring. It helps merchants retain supported product and collection history, define focused monitoring rules, review evidence-backed alerts, and start confirmed recovery operations from Shopify Admin.
Start here
- Get started with installation checks and the first protection policy.
- Learn how backups and protection work.
- Create monitoring rules for important store conditions.
- Review alerts and recovery before changing catalog data.
- Use health and privacy to verify access and understand data handling.
What Catalog Armor protects
Catalog Armor retains plan-based history for selected products and collections. Recovery is intentionally bounded: only fields supported by the app and Shopify APIs are eligible, and the merchant reviews the snapshot and field before confirming a restore.
What Catalog Armor monitors
Rules can evaluate products, collections, discounts, locations, and recent order facts. Alerts show the affected resource, severity, current status, and evidence captured when the rule matched.
Additional protection
Catalog Armor is an additional protection and recovery layer. Availability depends on granted Shopify access, retained history, plan limits, and fields supported by Shopify APIs.
