Alerts and recovery

Review alert evidence, manage status, and move safely from detection to recovery.

Alert lifecycle

When a rule matches, Catalog Armor opens or updates the alert for that rule and affected resource. A confirmed non-match or resource deletion can resolve it. Incomplete or unknown data does not open or resolve an alert.

Review evidence

Before acting, confirm:

  • The rule and resource that produced the alert.
  • Severity and current status.
  • The captured facts that matched the expression.
  • Whether the condition is new, recurring, or already understood.

Acknowledge and suppress

Acknowledgement records that the condition was reviewed. Suppression is appropriate for a known condition that should not keep demanding attention. Neither action changes the underlying Shopify resource.

Recover a supported field

If the alert relates to a protected product or collection:

  1. Open the resource's retained history.
  2. Compare the current and historical values.
  3. Select an eligible field.
  4. Review the confirmation dialog.
  5. Start the restore and wait for the recorded result.

Do not repeat a restore because a browser response was interrupted. Reopen the operation status so Catalog Armor can report the existing result.
